Latest Problem with Boiler Incorrectly Installed by DDH

The gas combi-boiler installed by DDH in 2020 continues to cause problems. Acidic distillate water was increasingly running out of a pipe, high in the outside wall above the drive. DDH had directed this water through an old WC overflow pipe made of metal. This shortcut when installing the boiler is strictly against the Gas Safe regulations and would nullify any warranty claim. The corrosive acid was damaging the tarmac and the foundations of the building and the wind could spray it onto the window and door below, as well as onto passing people or a car. The work of sealing off the metal overflow and laying a new condensate pipe (under floorboards and down the outside wall to a gully) was very professionally completed by A-Class Plumbing in 4 hours, at my expense, but at least the installation is now legal and safe.
